Miller had a broken foot that was deemed unfixable.
About Miller
Miller is a Miligold Macaw. A volunteer of Parrots First saw Miller in a pet store she was visiting. Miller was only 18 months old. She noticed he was limping and very aggressive. The store owner told her that Miller was given to the store when the owner no longer wanted him. Miller had bitten him and he threw Miller to the floor, breaking his leg. He did take him to a vet that put a pin in his leg and said that there was nothing else that could be done to straighten the leg. Our volunteer felt so deeply for Miller that she bought him and brought him to Parrots First.
A very gifted surgeon reviewed Miller’s x-ray and said he thought he could fix his leg. Three surgeries later, Miller now walks. The original pin was not placed properly, and Miller had been in pain for months.
Why Sponsor Miller?
Miller does not trust humans (and who can blame him?). He needs to live his life with other birds, because of his trust issues.
Miller’s Favorite Things
Miller loves to climb and chew nuts.
