Dear Friends of Parrots First,
Precious, Birdie Boo, Marmalade and Sammie. These are the lucky ones. With
help from all of you, Parrots First was able to commit to the care of each
of these beautiful creatures some of which may live for more than 60
years.
Sadly, Parrots First must say no to far more birds than we are able to help.
Lack of foster homes is most often the reason . Foster homes able to deal with
birds often given up due to excessive vocalization or other behavioral issues
are difficult to find.
We at Parrots First learned years ago, that we can not limit the birds
that we accept to the well adjusted parrot merely needing re-homing. We have
taken on many birds in need of immediate help both physical and emotional.
Help us to continue to fill this need now!
Parrots First has an opportunity to open a small facility that would enable us to say yes more often, and to work with the birds that so need our help. We ask you now to help these birds. Show them that we will continue to be there for those like Sammie and Precious.
The need is only growing!
Our goal is to raise the $1500.00 each month that it will take enable us to make this happen. This would cover all of the rent and the utilities for the facility!
We hope that you will help us however you can. If you can donate one dollar, that will help. If you can make a monthly recurring donation, that would be wonderful. Every dollar counts! If we can move in to this facility we will be able to take in more birds and also allow more people to visit and offer more volunteering opportunities. We will use far fewer foster homes and spend more time caring for those birds with physical or psychological needs and working daily towards socializing birds that need our help.
